Did you know the Weedy Sea dragon is the Victorian state marine emblem ?
To honour the year of the Dragon or Sea Dragon, we have developed a useful apron in the style of a Japanese Maekake apron. A simple waist apron that has been around since the 15th Century worn by craftspeople, sake brewers, shop keepers and hospitality workers.
Constructed from Japanese dark indigo selvedge denim and finished with a custom woven waist tape we have a limited number of 20 aprons available because small batch production is more sustainable than mass production. We work in small quantities, with skilled operators who pay attention to detail.
Our denim waste apron features a Weedy Sea dragon designed by Mari Adams of Calamari Pictures.
Made for W.P.S.C by Nama Denim Studio.
Dimensions : 46 cm wide by 72 cm in length ( including the fringe ) the apron fits all body types.
